This is how it went down

On Saturday, Oct. 8, at the lovely wooded compound.








1. Considering myself immunized for the winter after having the flu for a week while the weather was amazingly wonderful.
2. Football, cheering, basketball events were missed.
3. Football and basketball games were attended this morning...
I wore this watermelon red color shirt to the games
inside out,


4. Shopped for groceries for the quartet of youngsters who would be staying overnight.
5. Youngsters arrive, non-stop outside, inside, games and toys, and a 3 year old climbing up the high chair and down the high chair. and two dogs ta boot. (I didn't boot the dogs.. . fig-ah a speech).


6. Tractor rides and marching through the woods.



7. Tiger playoff baseball plus football on tv and the kitchen's a mess which is absolutely marvelous.
8. Coughing children, hungry children. snacking children, tired children. tired grandma.






9. The pizza shop sent a large ham and cheese hot sub sandwich instead of bread sticks to go with our pizza, which proved to be much better than the pizza..
10. Lots of left over pizza was tossed to the dogs.
11. Read books, view freight train videos on the Internet, watch the Tiger game which was rained out,
then back on..
repeat, rinse, repeat...  
12. The 3 year old (who insisted he was now 2) fell asleep with his hand in a bowl of popcorn.
13. The  young man who played football and had basketball practice that day with no time for meals, the fellow who wanted to watch baseball was now 'out' sprawled in a chair.
14. Darling teenager was busy with texting and iPad games.
15. All is quiet except the tv.  
16. Sideline ready to be down and out.

17. The dog puked up pizza.

18. I'm sleeping on the sofa.

19. Not before texting from room to room with the teenager who is in her bed.

20. The coffee pot is ready to roll..

That's how it went down.. on Saturday, Oct. 8.
