Why not start with spinach?

After all my mother set the example of healthy eating by keeping an open bag of spinach in her fridge just for snacking on during the day.
She's now 95 years old and spends about a buck seventy five a year on medication.

From the shopping list created yesterday this is what landed in the Costco cart today;

YUMMY!!!!!

FYI, these were in the cart too.
They're beans, right?

The Salad of the Day is right here, right before your very eyes.

Spinach, washed with some of the stems removed. There are too many stems for my patience to pick every one of them off. We just eat them.
Hard boiled eggs, little bit of white onion, couple of large fresh mushrooms, and a tomato.

It was good, honest to goodness it was.
With olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and sweetener.
I also topped it with a little kosher salt.

Just imagine all the toxins leaving our bodies right now.
And the iron is making us strong, like Popeye!
Sideline Grandma

*Always liked Popeye, maybe mom did too.
