This salad is all about the plates

I stopped at the mission store last week to visit one of my honeys who has been volunteering after school..
While she was occupied with reorganizing and sorting through the clothing racks
I scoured the dishes and household department.

Look what I found; three sweet little Pfaltzgraff plates.

How cute!
This is just 3 inches wide by 7 inches long.
Perhaps a spoon rest? An appetizer plate?
I don't know, but it looks and feels like it's
made for a thumb to fit on the end.

The Sideline Salad of the Day is simply a fresh fruit mixture
on a bed of romaine topped with walnuts, on cute plates.
This salad is really about the plates.

We were having Chop Suey so I just went crazy-wild and tossed
some chow mein noodles on the salad.
I rather like something crunchy on top of a fruit salad.

Sideline Papa said it was good.
And, asked,  Is this for the blog salad week posts?
Yes, honey, yes it is.
But what do you think of the plate?

If you know anything about these plates please leave a comment.. thanks!
And thanks for stopping in,
Sideline Grandma
