On the way home from Mackinac Island in September we decided to take a trip over to the Lake Michigan shoreline. It's really spectacular. We're so blessed to live in the center of the Great Lakes.
This sand dune is big my friends!
I pretended my lungs were fine and my heart wasn't pounding. Climb the hill? Huh, no problem whatsoever.
I'm simply stopping part way up to admire the view of Glenn Lake and the surrounding rolling hills.
Cuz there was no other reason to stop, nope.

Sleeping Bear Dunes is a National Park and requires a daily or lifetime pass for entry.

The Senior Citizen lifetime national park pass sells for $10 .. only 10 bucks! We bought one in Sideline Grandpa's name, now we can go to anywhere in the country for the rest of our lives. One pass per carload, wanna go?
The woman working in the booth was so diplomatic, she asked "Neither of you are 62 yet are you?", funny line lady.
Oh, no, booth lady, we're not 62 yet. Ha.
Sideline Grandma..
That looks amazing! I have never been to that part of the country. Haven't been to too many places. I have lived in NY my whole life. Spent 4 hrs in Ohio for college, and one in Philly for grad school. I have been to all the New England states often, and those we had to drive through to get to Fla., and that's it.
ReplyDeleteGood for you climbing the dune! I live a block from the Peconic Bay, and we have a big dune, and I have climbed the ones in Cape Cod when I was younger.
Have a good week, and thanks so much for visiting!
