The swimsuit discussion had been suspended for a week or so, this is where we left off..
Right here, with this woman
in a gorgeous swimsuit that has probably never touched a pool or lake.
Since shopping is to me like sucking cold water up my nose
I forced myself into a Marshall's store last week to look for a rug,
a nice tough outdoor rug for the front porch.
There were no such rugs in Marshalls.
I forced myself to the swimsuit racks.
Countdown to Florida vacation - 50 days.
and my body is not getting smaller.
At this very moment I'm watching a Food Network show
The Best Thing I Ever Ate - Chocolate.
This isn't helping a thing!
Chocolate pudding, Smore pie.
Moving on.
Have I avoided the topic long enough?
Did the porch rugs and chocolate distract you at all from the inevitability of the
following photos of actual
swim suits that are not on my body?
Three swim suits spent several days crunched together in this bag
in my home until
1. I was alone in the house 2. I had showered 3. I had on protective items.. ah hem
(we don't know WHERE these babies have been!)
Note lots of black.
Tried this one first.. couldn't get it off fast enough.
Made me gasp.
Not such a low neckline, covers back fat better
and it has a tutu skirt.
Could perhaps go out in public in this..
And just when I was beginning to feel a bit encouraged.
I tried on this one..
This was hilarious.
Back to the tutu..
Thanks for understanding.. my friends.
You do understand, don't you?
Love
Sideline Grandma
oh my oh my oh my!!!! Thanks for the abs workout!! Personally, I'd take the bottom of #2 and the top of #3--that would be seriously eye catching smile popping looking S.G. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'll save the rest of my comments when they are NOT so public!
Conquer the bathing suit, Nanc..don't let it conquer you...You've got your floppy hat and sunglasses..you're ready!!!(Oh, a suit too!)
ReplyDeleteHey, this will make you feel better (or laugh...maybe tear up thinkin about it)
Remember, many years ago, when this female you know, had an emergency appendectomy, left the hospital on Tues, and was leaving on a cruise that weekend. Of course she didn't have a bathing suit yet (?) and needed to go shopping. So you graciously took her to Roger's Dept Store the next day to try on suits (not a good thing) While this female, tried on suits and wept behind the curtain, you were wondering what heck did I offer to do this for? ( A bruised after surgery belly is NOT a pretty thing!!) Well, you got me through that and I have every confidence you will have just the right suit to wear to Florida!! So, do I understand? Oh Yeah, baby!!!
