Morning on the Pere Marquette Hyw

Really love taking the Pere Marquette Hwy north into Ludington Mi.
The orchards are lovely.
The old barns might be peeling or well kept, all of them wonderful.
Some are very large, with amazing windows, check out this window 3 or 4 stories high in
the peak of old beauty.
I was standing next to our truck to get the photos when
the owner stuck his head out the house door to yell,
"go ahead and get up close it to, that's ok" .
No doubt proud of his barn. Wonder what history lessons it holds?

Look at this window, isn't it amazing?

Oh, the former glory of this abandoned house.
And the inside, euuuu.. how I would love to see it!

Hubby spotted this antique tow truck parked next to;

                                                  This.

Fresh brown paint with bright pink and white flowers, a striking combo on the corner.

Old Vineyard and old barn. and new truck.. hmm..

Simple church........

And not so simple church --

 see below;

Wow.. look at those doors.. and there's a lot of stuff  in this yard.
I thought this was still a church until I climbed up the steep driveway to discover people live here.
Hope these folks didn't mind having a grandma walking around their yard.
But those red doors were irresistible,

Currently a landscaping business.

Isn't this charming?

Gotta thank my very patient driver on this trip along the Pere Marquette, he had to turn around several times as these places pop up behind the trees and "low and behold" you've passed them.

Beautiful West Michigan.
